Can Appalachian Ohio Build a New Economy?

In Ohio, the percentage of adults with at least a high school degree is close to national rates, but the percentage with college degrees lags; in Appalachian Ohio, 17.1% have a bachelor’s degree or higher while in the rest of the Ohio that number is 28.7% and nationally it’s 30.3%.
1000 Youth feels that a personal growth mindset along with a desire to build a workforce with enhanced professional development and interpersonal skills are very important for Appalachian success. Some residents may choose college, military training, or attend a trade school for these needed skills and mindset.
1000 Youth offers a different choice which is to build servant leaders and entrepreneurs. We provide a robust series of workshops, professional speakers, successful business leaders, a network of mentors, plus on the job training through employment at the 1000Youth ecommerce company.
Our servant leadership focused organization will further develop Appalachian residents’ communication, business, customer service, and professional skills. Personal pride, achievement drive, goal obtainment, mutual trust, integrity, and a commitment to giving back while truly caring about one another will become the pillars of a successful 1000 Youth students and associates.
